Bingo !!!
You found the thrilling pages of COMPACT Models!
So welcome to the fascinating world of miniature machines!
In short - compact technik offers to the engineering world what has been sadly lacking:
66 “classic” model machines that breathe life into the science of kinematics and help all designers engaged in mechanical engineering to aqcuire a kinematic habit of mind.
Far from the character of a toy, this proven series presents a simple three-dimensional demonstration of even the most complicated mechanisms.
As kinematics is the basic of all rational consideration of mechanics and the mastery of the science - it is an essential condition for creative work in the engineering field.
Kinematic models do not have to satisfy all the requirements of full-scale machines, particularly as regards stress, speed, acceleration, friction and heating. Nonetheless, they must be of faultness assembly, easy dismantling and have sufficient play to ensure exact motion with little adjustment. All these conditions are fulfilled in these COMPACT models.
The main application of this unique teaching aid is thought for classroom teamwork, whereby each student should have his own model to work with.
Using one series or single models only, thus fails to meet the original and actual aim of this model concept.
“Better one model in a student´s hand - than 50 models in an elegant cupboard” !
By using them this way, the handy models allow a fascinating approach to the laws
of classic mechanisms and machine elements to learn their classification,
motion changes, accelerations, torques etc...
Calculations of gear/pulley
ratios and dimensions, shaft distances, mating technical
drawings are only a few of the many interesting and valuable tasks provided by these superb models.
Using the wide array of components from the AUTOMAT Construction Kits System,
every creative designer can build his own special model machines in a fast and easy way - as both systems (AUTOMAT and COMPACT) use the same components.
In total the COMPACT Series represents an almost complete cross-section of the wide field of mechanics and gear technics which is constantly extended.
